2020 Old footage of Urie resurfaced showing him using a transphobic slur and making comments about Caitlyn Jenner's transition. He later apologized for using the slur. Other resurfaced footage also prompted criticism over racist remarks and miming the n-word. Source
2018 Panic! at the Disco have supported LGBTQ+ equality for years. The band collaborated with the Human Rights Campaign, while Urie publicly advocated for LGBTQ+ equality and sexual fluidity. In 2018, he pledged $1 million through the Highest Hopes Foundation to GLSEN to support student-led LGBTQ+ clubs in high schools. Source
