1984 Vince Neil was driving while intoxicated when he crashed his car. His passenger, Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley of Hanoi Rocks, was killed, while two people in the other vehicle suffered serious injuries. Neil was subsequently convicted of vehicular manslaughter and drunk driving and received a prison sentence that was suspended after 30 days. Source
1998 Drummer Tommy Lee pleaded no contest to felony spousal abuse after assaulting his then-wife Pamela Anderson while she was holding their infant son. The court sentenced him to six months in Los Angeles County Jail, along with three years of probation, counseling and community service. Source
2023 A woman identified as Jane Doe filed a civil lawsuit alleging that Tommy Lee sexually assaulted her during a 2003 helicopter flight, including allegations of forced kissing, groping, digital penetration and an attempted forced sex act. Lee denied the allegations. The lawsuit was dismissed in 2024 after the judge found that the complaint failed to establish the statutory cover-up requirement needed to revive the time-barred claim; the plaintiff subsequently voluntarily dismissed the case without prejudice. No finding was made on whether the alleged assault occurred. Source
2001, 2019 In the biographical comedy-drama film 'The Dirt', Nikki Sixx described deliberately swapping places with Tommy Lee during sex with a woman without her knowledge, and later reflected that he had "pretty much" raped her. In 2019, Sixx retracted the account, saying he did not remember it, that it may have been "greatly embellished" or fabricated, and apologized for having written it. Source
