In the 2005 trial, Michael Jackson was acquitted on all 10 counts, which included charges of child molestation, administering an intoxicating agent, and conspiracy. While the documents detailed their investigative efforts, including traveling to the Philippines for interviews and examining computer hard drives, the FBI did not uncover any evidence that led to federal charges. The 1993 allegations resulted in a civil settlement for a reported $15 to $25 million (never confirmed) to avoid litigation, but no criminal charges were ever filed in that case. Source
2002 Michael Jackson briefly held his infant son, Prince Michael II, beyond the railing of a fourth-floor hotel balcony in Berlin while showing him to fans below. The child did not fall or appear to be injured, but the act created an obvious and unnecessary risk. Jackson subsequently apologized, calling it a “terrible mistake” and saying he had become caught up in the excitement. Source
Jackson supported numerous charitable organizations and used concerts, recordings and publicity to raise attention and money for causes involving children, poverty, disease and disaster relief. Source
